Classical Greek, nomizō, nomiō, enomisa, nenomika, nenomismai, enomisthēn, 1. to consider or think, to believe.

The second-person plural, aorist active subjunctive (in the negative) of this verb starts the passage I recently blogged about, Matthew 5:17-20, where Jesus says, μη νομίσητε, “Do not think…”
