inadequate

Last night I was studying Hebrews 1 with my Greek Reader, along with an Interlinear with Greek, KJV and NIV. Though I muddled my way through I have to admit that I felt completely inadequate. I love studying languages, but I must admit a great frustration with my efforts. And this is especially true in regards to Greek and Hebrew.

Widening my vocabulary has been the greatest problem, I think. I wish it “came naturally”. The patterns for a language come much more easily to me. But memorization has never been a strong skill.

Well, I’m not giving up. Just thought I would offer this in case someone was facing the same struggle – recognition that they are not alone.
