WOTD, πᾶς

The word of the day is…

πᾶς, πᾶσα, πᾶν

Greek, pās, pāsa, pān, 1. all, every 2. the whole

Just think, “active aorist participle,” and you will get the endings:

Nom/Voc S. πᾶς πᾶσα πᾶν
Gen παντός 1
πάσης παντός 1
Dat παντί 1
πάσῃ παντί 1
Acc πάντα πᾶσαν πάντα
Nom/Voc P. πάντες πᾶσαι πάντα
Gen πάντων πασῶν 2
πάντων
Dat πᾶσι(ν) πάσαις πᾶσι(ν)
Acc πάντας πάσας πάντα

Notes

  1. Note in the masculine and neuter singular genitive and dative, the accent is on the ultima, rather than the head alpha
  2. Note in the feminine, accent only falls to the ultima in the plural genitive
