The word of the day is…
παραγγέλλω, παραγγελῶ, παρήγγειλα, παρήγγελκα, παρήγγελμαι, παρηγγέλθην
Greek, paraggellō, paraggelō, parēggeila, parēggelka, parēggelmai, parēggelthēn, 1. to pass a message from one individual to another; to declare, announce. 2. to command, charge
This verb is formed from the prefix παρα- and the verb ἀγγέλλω. As with root ἀγγέλλω:
- The duplication -λλ- is only found in the forms derived from the present tense stem.
- -ἠ- found in parts III and VI is the augmented form. The unaugmented forms are -α-. Contrast this with parts IV and V, where -η- is the part of the unaugmented stem, and remains -η- in the past augmented forms.
- The future is formed in the same way as the present of contracted ποιέω.
