Brian Fulthorp shared terrible news over at his blog on Wednesday. The short of it is that almost all of his library fell prey to toxic mold a while back. And yesterday his chore was to throw out this entire collection, for the health of he and his family. Brian is a pastor of a small church near the Grand Canyon, and doesn’t have the means to recover from a loss like that.
So this is a great opportunity for the body to rise. Would you consider checking out his Amazon wishlist or this document which shares much of what was lost? Maybe you have one or more of these books that you aren’t using, or the means to replace one of those books. That would be wonderful, and a display of God’s own grace.
A lot of other bloggers are sharing about this, and rightly so. It pains me just to think what he has gone through. While recognizing that it is “just stuff”, it is a still big part of who we are! Books remind us of past experiences – both success and failure. And they can be continual sources of encouragement and instruction. Especially as they help Brain counsel and teach.
So there it is. You have an opportunity. Would you consider doing something to help him out?
Oh, and Brian’s address is:
