Hi, and welcome to Akahige Wines, Meads and Sundry!
This blog will hopefully be an outlet for me to share my joy in experimenting with the wine making process. Right now, I’m just a hobbyist, a home fermenter. Would love to be more one day, but for now, I’m working on skills and process.
Expect to see notes on regular progress with my “experiments”; these range from standard wines to non-grape wines (sometimes called “country wines”) and more, varying sugars (fruit sugars, honey, etc.), but may delve more fully into other products made from the same, fermented or not (jams and jellies come to mind).
I may even find time to post on some non-alcoholic ferments, but we’ll just see how it goes!
